Logging into Online Banking
Once you have received your initial password and user ID, use the following directions to log into Online Banking:
- Select Personal Banking in the log on box on the Bank of Tennessee homepage
- This will be a direct link to our Internet banking site
- From the main Login screen, type in your Login ID and click validate
- Verify your personalized PassMark to ensure security and enter your Password
- If this is your first Online Banking session, you will see the First Time User page. Click the Terms and Conditions link to review the agreement. Then, click “Proceed” to begin your session.
A Word About Passwords
Your password is the key to your account. Guard it carefully, and do not give it to anyone. Here are a few simple guidelines to help with passwords:
- Select a password that has some meaning to you, but would be difficult for others to guess
- Use at least six characters, although eight is better
- For added security avoid single words or names
- It is a good idea to use both letters and numbers
- We have provided additional security with the personalized PassMark. Your PassMark will always be displayed anytime we ask you for your Password, so never provide your Password if you do not see your PassMark.
Logging Off
For security reasons, you must always use the Exit button when you have completed a Online Banking session. This ensures that no one can gain access to your accounts by using your computer. The Exit option will allow you to return to the Online Banking Login screen or our home page.
Emptying Your PC Cache Memory
For added security, empty your computer's RAM or working memory after each Online Banking session. The working memory or cache speeds up your Web access, but also stores copies of the pages you have viewed. How you clear your cache will depend on the browser you use. To learn how to empty your cache, see either your browser's or Online Banking's online Help.
Printing Pages
To print any page from Online Banking, you must have a printer attached to your PC. Before printing, click on the page (screen) area you want to print. This ensures that the area is "active" and the correct page prints. Then select your browser's print icon. The page will then print.
