Helen Whitson
Helen Whitson is a native of Monticello, New York, and a graduate of Strayer College, Washington, D.C. She has been in the banking and financial services industry for over 33 years, having been a branch manager, loan officer, and marketing specialist. She is currently Senior Vice President of Bank of Tennessee and a UVEST Financial Consultant.
Whitson was named Financial Consultant of the Year in 2006 for the entire UVEST organization. Whitson has consistently distinguished herself as a leader over the course of her career with Bank of Tennessee and UVEST. For seven consecutive years, she has been a member of UVEST’s President’s Circle, an honor for the top 25 UVEST financial consultants based on their production and best practices. A leading provider of third-party brokerage, today UVEST delivers customized investment plans in a consultative environment to over 300 financial institutions in more than 40 states.
Whitson has served as Director for Second Harvest Food Bank, as Chairman of Frontier Health, Trustee for Johnson City Specialty Hospital, and as a Board member for United Way. She is a member of the American Cancer Society, and she serves as a volunteer for the Children’s Hospital at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Gary Tilley
Gary Tilley, Financial Advisor, UVEST Financial Services, and Vice-President, Bank of Tennessee, has more than 30 years of experience in the investment and financial planning industry. Tilley’s goal is to assist clients with investment and financial planning based on their time frame, goals, needs and risk tolerance. Tilley is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (™) and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist. He is qualified to deliver a full range of personal and corporate investment, wealth management and insurance products and services to his customers.
Tilley is a past President of the Board of Trustees at Appalachian Christian Village, a member of the Kingsport Rotary Club and Colonial Heights Christian Church. He and his wife Ruth reside in Kingsport, TN. They have two children and four grandchildren.
