Tri-Cities, TN May 5, 2010 – Recently, at the Bank of Tennessee Employee Choice Awards gala, the Bank announced Joe Haynie, Senior Vice President and IT Manager, as Employee of the Year.

“We’re proud to have had Joe Haynie as a dedicated employee for 25 years and counting. Awarding him with Employee of the Year is a wonderful reflection of his excellent service and whose commitment to his job is always first and foremost,” said Roy L. Harmon, Jr., President and CEO.

“I am very blessed to have the opportunity to get up and come to work each day,” said Haynie upon receiving the honor. “I’m very grateful for the lessons instilled by my parents, especially my father, who always said, ‘You may not always have the best job but always do the best job at the one you have’.”

Bank of Tennessee created the Happy Employee Loyalty Program (HELP) in March 2008 as a method to recognize special employees who perform above and beyond for the Bank. Employee of the Year is chose by a selection committee, comprised of Bank of Tennessee employees, who review the nominations from peers, with the names omitted. This year, twenty-eight employees were nominated.
