Fun Fest 2008

For the 27th year, Bank of Tennessee was the proud sponsor of the Taste of Tri-Cities restaurant competition. Located in Memorial Park, the Taste of Tri-Cities is a four-day sampling of several of the areas best restaurants’ menu items. Restaurants were judged on Quality of Food, Value for the Money and Originality of Tent Design. Taste dates were Wednesday, July 16 – Saturday, July 19.
Visitors, from around the region and beyond, sampled delectable delights from many of the restaurants in Memorial Park. Many brought blankets, chairs, friends and family to gather and enjoy the evening breeze. Participating restaurants: Discovery Ice Cream, Riverfront Seafood, Cocula’s, Ming Garden, Fuji House, Asian Diner, Chick-fil-A, Great American Cookie Company, Marble Slab Creamery, Fazoli’s, Molcajetes, 12 Bones, Kingsport Grocery, Pratt’s, Dippin’ Dot’s, Ice Cream Stop.
On Wednesday evening, July 16, Molcajetes won the annual Bank of Tennessee “Best of” Taste of Tri-Cities. Congratulations Molcajetes Grill of Kingsport! Judges comments include: “mmmm,” “mmm” and “mmmmm.” Pratt’s BBQ placed 2nd and Cocula placed 3rd.
